Simply amazing capacity for the price.. I am extremely impressed at how it was able to silently slew a 10kg rig effortlessly. Extremely well manufactured and oozes quality. It is necessary to connect to the mount with the phone app first to synchronise important settings which for me were ASIAIR compatibility and also to disable the anti collision system as I had a pier. After a firmware update it was easy to setup with the ASIAIR Plus 256Gb after changing guide calibration settings: 700ms step size, 500 for the other 2 settings. Exposure of 1 second was sufficient. Polar alignment was a cinch getting it down in less than 10 minutes the first time round. This was facilitated by the titanium knobs which felt wonderful, coming from a Sk******r product. There was zero altitude backlash and I could reliably adjust the azimuth in even tiny increments.

Highly recommended. Take the time to understand the difference from older German EQ mounts and setting changes needed and you will be as impressed as I am.

Initially I was leery about buying an expensive mount from a small, relatively unknown vendor halfway around the world. I had followed them for almost a year on Discord and watching the development of their product lines. It didn\'t take too long before I realized they were legit. Great support from them and from the user community. The mount itself is awesome. Great build quality, and dead silent. I\'ll be watching with interest to see what they come up with next.

Great Product. Super Quiet, lighter than my old mount, and has lots of \"dumb user\" protections to prevent crashing into the tripod. Definitely a good purchase.

I have been shooting DSOs since last 4 years and i started out with two ioptron mounts - GEM 28 & CEM 40. The UMi17s is my third DSO mount and the best one i have ever used or operated. The mount is light but dont be fooled by its weight as it handles my 14 kg rig like a charm. I shoot B9 with one of the worst city skies in the world and the mount guides efficiently and has helped me produce quality data. From the aesthetic side the finish is superb and robust. Small details like knobs and adjustment screws are easy to handle and work effortlessly. Nokk and Alan have been great with after sales support with regular firmware updates and trouble shooting. This is a very hands on and progressive approach that i have not seen with other OEMs in this bracket. Highly recommended, you wont regret it.
