The PE149 is very sturdy and well made but i would recommend to leave it mounted together with the mounthead since the connecting screws to the connection plate are very small and could easily get lost if one had to take it apart in the field.

Stable and serves its purpose. Fits well with the tripod and mount.

Solid quality. Saves you having to worry about the back end of the rig colliding with the tripod. I particularly like the red thumbscrews used to secure the mount to the pier. I left it permanently attached to the CF40 tripod and used a longer padded lighting equipment bag.

What is the bottom hole screw pattern? Can you make it in a 3/8 inch center hole?

      • Mall Customer Service >2026-01-31 18:32:57

Hello, the bottom screw pattern is the same as the ones on mounts, with three M6 holes 120 degrees apart. There are no 3/8 holes in the center.

Is there an adapter for the Rainbow Astro RST-135? Thank you
